ooooooooooookidoki.
so, it helps to click on the image to get the sort of description... although the pictures kind o help :)
stick figures and ms paint are haaaaaaaaaaaaaaard to deal with when illustrating stuff like this.
the basic principles i keep hearing repeated in class is:
earth doesnt really move. imagine a 3 foot box around yourself, that's as far as you can go in any direction and that's it. (the, my bud is wounded on the floor behind me and i cant but be in the enemy's way or they'll get to him) (otherwise known as come on bitch! bring it)
water recedes. it invites you into the killing range. so water poses and movement are generally done going backwards or sideways. come to me so i might suddenly kill you ^,^
fire (not pictured yet) consumes everything... it's a very forward attack. (i'm here to trash your ass, it doesnt matter why) so most fire movements/poses are done with a forwards (and our sensei in particular likes to stomp when she does them. (its' funny and cute, but i imagine she'd kill me quick if the swords were real :) )
wind (also not pictured yet) bends around things.. it's a very side shift thing (i'm not sure how to describe it....) i dont have much experience with wind poses/fighting etc... ^,^
if you couldnt guess, i'm most comfortable in earth. (well... cavern posture excepted... unless my chest is bound) ^,^
and that's what i share for now.
when i know more of the wind, i'll post the fire/wind pictures :) miya miya miya
